I am a firm believer that the more you read about a certain idea, the more it’ll become natural to think about that idea too. Reading positive books helps to reinforce new beliefs in my head, so I thought I would share some of those I’ve read.
The Power of Less – Leo Babauta
One thing I have always struggled with is fitting everything in, not letting myself get overwhelmed and meeting my goals even when I have been feeling negative. I really love this book for helping you to work through what matters to you, and teaching you to break down your goals in a way that makes sure they’re achievable. I don’t know about you, but I find it a lot easier to think positive when I know I’m taking action to meet my goals.
Although there are mixed reviews of this books, it’s one I turn to all the time. Its message is simple and it is just written in an extremely positive way. Whether “the Secret” truly works is something I’m not decided on, but I know that it fills me with positivity each time I read it.
Feel the Fear. . . and Do It Anyway – Susan Jeffers
If you hold yourself back because of fear, worry that things will always go wrong, then this is the book for you. I find the premise very comforting when I try something new and push past my comfort zone.
The Happiness Project – Gretchen Rubin
The author of the Happiness Project decided it was about time she took her happiness more seriously and dedicated her time to learning what contributed to it. This book details various methods she tried, and is a really easy way of learning more about what science and the world’s great thinkers say about happiness.
